• Personal Identification: Full Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, and Gender.
• Academic & Merit Data: MHT-CET Percentile, JEE Percentile, and State General Merit Number.
• Demographic & Category Data: Caste/Category details.
• Special Seat Interests: Admission interest in specific seat types, including but not limited to Orphan, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), Defense Personnel, Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS), and Minority quotas.

3. How We Use Your Information

The data we collect is used strictly for the core functionality of the App. We do not use your data for targeted advertising. Your information is used to:

• Provide Personalized Predictions: Analyze your scores, category, and seat interests against historical cutoffs to provide accurate college predictions.
• Customize the User Experience: Generate a personalized Virtual Option Form and document checklists based on your specific profile and category.
• Account Management: Authenticate your identity, maintain your account security, and provide customer support.
• App Communications: Send you essential updates regarding CAP round schedules, merit lists, and important admission deadlines.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We strictly do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal or academic data with any third parties, marketing agencies, or external institutions.

All collected data is kept strictly confidential within the CAP Mate ecosystem. We will only disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).

5. Data Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, and we employ commercially acceptable and robust security measures to protect it. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Data Retention and Deletion (User Rights)

We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy (typically the duration of the admission season).

Your Right to Delete Data:

In compliance with Google Play Store policies, you have full control over your data. You can request the complete deletion of your account and all associated personal/academic data through either of the following methods:

• Online Form: You may also submit a formal deletion request by filling out the form at capmate.in/delete-account-and-data.

We will process your request and permanently erase your data from our servers within 7 business days.

7. Children’s Privacy

CAP Mate is designed for students seeking higher education admissions and does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.
